The list of first set of marquee players:

- Murali Vijay to Delhi Daredevils (Rs 5 crore)

- Kevin Pietersen to Delhi Daredevils (Rs 9 crore using right-to-match after Sunrisers won the bid)

- Jacques Kallis to Kolkata Knight Riders (Rs 5.50 crore)

- Yuvraj Singh goes for the highest price so far. Rs 14 crore to Royal Challengers Bangalore.

- Virender Sehwag to Kings XI Punjab (Rs 3.2 crore)

- Mitchell Johnson to Kings XI Punjab (Rs 6.5 crore)

David Warner to Sunrisers Hyderabad (Rs 5.50 crore)

During the 2nd session: 
  
 - Yuvraj Singh has been the star of the show, fetching a whooping Rs 14 crore from the Royal Challengers Bangalore. England maverick Kevin Pietersen sparked a three-way bidding war between Kings XI Punjab, Chennai Super Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad. The Hyderabad franchise won that war with a Rs 9 crore bid but the Delhi Daredevils swooped in to retain his services with the help of the right-to-match card.

- Dinesh Karthik was another costly player as the Delhi Daredevils snapped him up for Rs. 12.50 crore.

- Mumbai Indians' bowling superstar from 2013, Mitchell Johnson went to Kings XI Punjab.

- Sunrisers Hyderabad, who struggled to find a formidable opening pair last season, spent big on Aaron Finch (Rs 4 crore) and David Warner (Rs 5.5 crore).

- KKR paid Rs 5.50 crore for Jacques Kallis, who was earlier part of their side.

- Among the bowlers, Mitchell Starc received the highest bid. Royal Challengers Bangalore paid Rs 5 crore for him while the Kolkata Knight Riders spent Rs 4.25 crore on Piyush Chawla.

- As far as the all-rounders were concerned, Rajasthan Royals did smart business by buying back Brad Hodge (Rs 2.4 crore) and also investing in Steve Smith (Rs 4 crore).

- KXIP meanwhile, picked up Thisara Perera for a bargain (Rs 1.6 crore)

 - Rajasthan Royals pick up Tim Southee for Rs 1.20 crores.

 - Sunrisers Hyderabad get Jason Holder for Rs 75 Lakh

 - Ben hilfeanus CSK bid for him and get him at base price.

- Rajasthan Royals snap up Cutting for Rs 80 Lakh.

 - Delhi Daredevils snap up James Neesham for Rs 1 crore.

 - Venugopal Rao goes to Sunrisers Hyderabad for RS 55      Lakh.

 - Chennai Super Kings take away Samuel Badree for the    base price of Rs 30 Lakh.

 - Mohit Sharma goes back to previous season's team, CSK for Rs 2 crore.

 - KXIP use right-to-match and take away Parwinder Awana for Rs 65 Lakh after Sunrisers won the bid.

 - Varun Aaron has been sold for Rs 2 crore and Delhi are not willing to match the bid.

 - Ashish Nehra to CSK for Rs 2 crore.

 - XIP get Lakshmipathy Balaji for Rs 1.80 crore.

 - Delhi Daredevils get Nathan Coulter-Nile for Rs 4.25 crore.

 - Sunrisers Hyderabad open the bidding for Henriques. It turns out to be the closing bid. SOLD!

 - Rajasthan Royals get Abhishek Nayar for Rs 1 crore.

 - Corey Anderson to Mumbai Indians at Rs 4.50 crore.

 - Kings XI Punjab get Glenn Maxwell for Rs 6 crore.

 - Brendan Taylor to Sunrisers Hyderabad for Rs 30 Lakh.
